The CDC has not acknowledged any links between the cases in Ohio and those in Michigan, but the investigation is ongoing. To protect themselves from infection, Michiganders are urged to take precautions such as washing their hands with soap and water before and after handling or preparing raw fruits and vegetables, and washing all fruits and vegetables thoroughly under running water before eating, cutting, or cooking.
